Mt Norquay's Annual Cardboard Box derby. A weird, wacky and hilarious evening for the competitors, and a great spectator event too. Construct a sled using only cardboard, paper tape and glue. Many prizes for the night including fastest sled, costumes and of course best sled.

Three hours of intense skiing that will create a reputation to last a lifetime! What is the Mountain Smoker? It's an epic event to see how many runs you can ski on the Lone Pine in 3 hours. The current record held by Bob Rankin (1981) is 22 runs in 3 hours (30,000 vertical feet) Entry forms can be picked up from Mountain Magic Equipment in Banff or Mt Norquay Guest Services. Competitors can enter on competition day. Time trials 9:00-11:00am Race Starts 12:00pm
