Lake Louise Featured Restaurants

Located at Moraine Lake Lodge, which is open from June through October, the Walter Wilcox Dining Room provides fresh Canadian cuisine in a stunning setting. Signature dishes include buffalo carpacchio with roasted pine nuts and deer tenderloin with red currants and juniper berries. An impressive wine list is also featured. Dinner reservations are highly recommended. The dining room is open for breakfast and dinner.

The Cafeteria at The Crossing Resort can set up to 125 guests and provides fast efficient service to visitors. This licensed eatery offers a selection of breakfast, lunch and dinner items as well as drinks, pastry items, fresh salads and fruit.

The Elkhorn Dining Room is located at Simpson's Num-Ti Jah Lodge and offers menu items created from fresh, local ingredients that are often organic. This fully-licensed restaurant specializes in Canadian cuisine. The lodge is located 40 km north of Lake Louise on Highway 93.

The Dining Room at The Crossing Resort is open for breakfast and dinner in the months of March, April, May and October and dinner only during the summer months of June, July, August and September. This family-friendly restaurant features something for everyone, including vegetarians. An evening buffet is served nightly from June to the end of September that includes salads, fruit and cheese, a carved leg of ham, carved roast beef, poached salmon, oven roasted potatoes, wild rice pilaf, fresh vegetables and a selection of desserts.

The Nashan-esen Lounge at Simpson's Num-Ti-Jah Lodge offers a cozy atmosphere, accentuated by a pool table and numerous wildlife pictures and hides.

Explorers Lounge is located in the basement of the Lake Louise Inn and features a relaxing atmosphere, as well as plenty of tantalizing menu items and beer on tap. The pub is open from 5pm until midnight daily.

The Snowshoe Cafe offers a variety of deli foods, fresh baked pastries, hot and cold meals, beverages, snacks and icecreams. Located in Moraine Lake Lodge, which is open seasonally from June through October, this cafe's hours are 8am to 7pm.

The Crossing Pub is an excellent place to unwind after an exciting day of sightseeing and outdoor activities. Diners can grill their own steak or hamburger on the pub's open-flame grill or choose one of the popular menu items. During summer months, the sun deck is a popular hangout and a soup and sandwich bar is available at lunch. The Pub also features a large stone fireplace, a pool table and a dartboard. Liquor off-sales are available during regular pub hours.

The Timberwolf Pizza & Pasta Cafe is located at the Lake Louise Inn and is the perfect place to dine with the whole family. Open for dinner nightly, this restaurant offers pizza and pasta, as well as other favourites.

Founded in 1922 by the Canadian Pacific Railway, Storm Mountain Lodge offers stunning views and a rustic charm. The dining room is situated along the wraparound windows in the lodge, not far from the lounge, which is warmed by a massive stove fireplace. Guests will experience Canadian cuisine prepared with a dedication to organic ingredients and naturally-raised Alberta meat and fish. Entrées include buffalo, wild salmon, rack of lamb and free-range chicken. All of the breads, desserts and breakfast pastries are baked on-site. The restaurant is located 25 minutes from Banff on Highway 93.

Located in the Lake Louise Inn, Legends Restaurant offers a wide range of hearty Canadian and international dishes that are sure to satisfy any appetite. The restaurant is open daily from 7am to 2pm (summer hours from 6:30 am to 11 am daily). Legends features a prime rib buffet on Sunday evenings between 6:30pm and 9pm.

At the Baker Creek Bistro Chef Shelley Robinson uses quality local, regional and seasonal ingredients to create a memorable taste experience. Located at the Baker Creek Mountain Resort, this restaurant has a unique mountain setting, a sunny patio and a lounge. Brunch, lunch and dinner are available. Reservations are recommended.

The Riverside Dining Room at Cathedral Mountain Lodge has enjoyed an excellent reputation for innovative presentation and fresh regional cuisine. The menu showcases the best regional cuisine and an extensive wine list is available. The large stone fireplace and elegant Rocky Mountain interior are the backdrop to the views of the glacial fed Kicking Horse River. Dinner reservations are highly recommended. The restaurant is open seasonally from May through October.

Located just off the Bow Valley Parkway (Highway 1A) just 35 minutes from Lake Louise and 20 minutes from Banff, the restaurant at Johnston Canyon Resort offers breakfast, lunch and dinner daily in the summer season which runs from May 19th through October. At breakfast items like omelettes, french toast and pancakes, while at lunch hot and cold sandwiches, salads and appetizers are offered. Reservations are recommended for dinner and the menu is filled with steak, seafood and pasta entrees.
