The Crossing Pub is an excellent place to unwind after an exciting day of sightseeing and outdoor activities. Diners can grill their own steak or hamburger on the pub's open-flame grill or choose one of the popular menu items. During summer months, the sun deck is a popular hangout and a soup and sandwich bar is available at lunch. The Pub also features a large stone fireplace, a pool table and a dartboard. Liquor off-sales are available during regular pub hours.
The Nashan-esen Lounge at Simpson's Num-Ti-Jah Lodge offers a cozy atmosphere, accentuated by a pool table and numerous wildlife pictures and hides.
Explorers Lounge is located in the basement of the Lake Louise Inn and features a relaxing atmosphere, as well as plenty of tantalizing menu items and beer on tap. The pub is open from 5pm until midnight daily.
Founded in 1922 by the Canadian Pacific Railway, Storm Mountain Lodge offers stunning views and a rustic charm. The dining room is situated along the wraparound windows in the lodge, not far from the lounge, which is warmed by a massive stove fireplace. Guests will experience Canadian cuisine prepared with a dedication to organic ingredients and naturally-raised Alberta meat and fish. Entrées include buffalo, wild salmon, rack of lamb and free-range chicken. All of the breads, desserts and breakfast pastries are baked on-site. The restaurant is located 25 minutes from Banff on Highway 93.
One of Lake Louise's best-known secrets is this fireside lounge situated within the elegant Post Hotel & Spa. Sink into a down-filled leather couch surrounded by dark-wood panelling and order some not-so-typical pub grub: chicken burger with spicy mayo and avocado, or beef goulash with spaetzle. The best seat in the house is in front of a large open fireplace.
This lounge is located in the upper section of the Lodge of Ten Peaks. During the ski season it is open each day from 11am to 6pm. There is a wide range of Canadian and Belgian beer on tap. They serve hot specialty beverages too. There is a menu with lots of options on it, including oven baked pizzas.
Find this lounge at the Emerald Lake Lodge, 32 km from Lake Louise. An intimate setting includes a stone fireplace and plush seating for kicking back and relaxing. A patio is available in the summer. An all-day menu is offered.
Found at the Lake Louise Youth Hostel, Bill Peyto's is an area favourite for its relaxed apres ski (or hike) atmosphere complete with plenty of exposed pine furnishings and a stone fireplace. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the menu features a good selection of Canadian dishes, included grilled fish, steaks, burgers, stirfrys and salads. A lounge is located upstairs.
Located at the Deer Lodge, this lounge offers an authentic Rocky Mountain setting with exposed log-beam walls and an a-frame ceiling. It is open daily for afternoon tea and light evening snacks with offerings that include a Rocky Mountain game platter, buffalo pastrami on rye, tempura halibut with sweet potato fries, braised lamb shank with winter squash and flatbread pizza.
A casual and wild west theme is reflected through dark wood decor and a long bar at this lounge found within the Chateau Lake Louise. A large selection of international beers and wines are available along with mixed drinks. Enjoy pub meals, snacks, a game of pool and a stunning lake view. Reservations are not required.
