Two hours west of Banff and 18 min, 3380 m (11,266 ft) gondola ride to Canada’s highest elevation restaurant at 2350 m (7700 ft). Award winning Rocky Mountain cuisine and stunning views. Timber and stone decor, large deck, huge windows. Mains feature Rocky Mountain game and Pacific seafood. Summer: Skylunch (Sun brunch) Jun 12-21/Sept 11-27 Fri-Sun; June 26-Sept 6 daily ($18); 3-course sunset dinner Fri and select Sat ($49). Summer Dinner Concert Series themed 5-course meal and live music June 27, July 11, Aug 1, 15, Sept 5 ($79). Winter: Dec 12-April 12. Daily lunch ($13-$18); dinner Fri-Sat only, Dec 24-31 nightly. Summer: The second largest log structure in Canada hosts generous Canadian breakfast (8:30 am-11 am; $12.25, ch 6-15 $9, -6 $4) and lunch buffets (11:30 am-2:30 pm; $18.75, ch 6-15 $12, -6 $4)—ride 'n' dine breakfast and lunch packages are a great value at about $6 more. Also self-serve restaurant for burgers, sandwiches and snacks. Licensed deck. At the top, Whitehorn Terrace Coffee Bar offers Starbucks coffee and light fare with views of Lake Louise, peaks and glaciers. May 15-Sept 30; 8 am-5 pm.
