The Fairview Lookout offers views of Chateau Lake Louise and Lake Louise itself. The lookout is accessed by a short hiking trail that provides visitors with interpretive displays at the top that tell the history of the Chateau. The hike is about one hour long.
A short hike through an alpine meadow takes visitors to the crest of Parker Ridge which provides an excellent view of the Saskatchewan Glacier, the largest tongue of the Columbia Icefield. Other visible glaciers include the Athabasca, Andromeda and Castleguard glaciers. The ridge is located 113 km (70.6 mi) south of Jasper and l17 km (73 mi) north of Lake Louise.
