Since it used to be a fire lookout, the Little Beehive has great views. On the way there, hikers can view the high peaks at the back end of the Lake Louise Valley including Mt. Victoria, Mt. Lefroy, Mt. Whyte and Mt. Niblock. Once the Little Beehive is attained, the view switches to the broad sweep of the Bow Valley, the largest in Banff National Park. An interpretive sign tells about the fire history of the area. This hike is beautiful in larch season - mid to late September. This trail begins with the Lake Agnes teahouse trail and there are a number of ways to connect over to the lake and to enjoy the teahouse as part of this hike. Intrepid hikers can continue to the top of Mt. St. Piran as well. Maps are available from the Lake Louise Visitor Centre.
